FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - July 22, 2010
Fall Weekend Retreat for Adult Cancer Patients Hosted by Bluebird Cancer Retreats of West Michigan
September 10 – 12, 2010
Through the unique experience of weekend retreats, Bluebird Cancer Retreats provides hope and respite for adults who have been diagnosed with cancer. Bluebird’s September 10 – 12, 2010 Retreat will be held on the shores of Lake Michigan at the Camp Geneva Conference Center in Holland. For three days and two nights, participants have a special opportunity for listening and learning, not only about their disease, but insights from others like themselves who live with cancer.
Retreat attendees are given time to reflect, share, and learn about coping with cancer while participating in a variety of educational, recreational, and social activities. Retreats are staffed by medical, spiritual, and social professionals along with cancer survivors and volunteers, and are carefully constructed to ensure a dynamic healing journey toward emotional well-being.
Cost of the retreat is $100 per person and includes two night’s accommodations, all meals, and all activities. Space is limited and immediate registration is strongly encouraged. Scholarships are available for those who are in need. Call 616.847.0839 to register, or visit www.bluebirdmi.org for a registration form and more information.
Additional fall retreat dates include: Couples Retreat, October 8 – 10 for cancer patients accompanied by a spouse, friend, or caregiver and a Reunion Retreat, November 13 – 14, open to past Bluebird Retreat participants.
