Bluebird Memorial Garden

Gone from our sight, but never from our memories. Gone from our lives, but never from our hearts.

Located on the grounds of Camp Geneva, a beautiful Bluebird Memorial Garden has begun to take shape.  Under the loving direction of Jan Weiden, Bluebird Retreat Director, “helping hands” Gerri Roobol, Paige Riopelle, Jackie Barwin, Wendy Swenson, and Renee Denslow have worked hard to prepare the space for the next phase.
Two stone benches, in memory of Roe Kanopa and Cynthia Collinge-Golab and Jerry Collinge, create an important focal point and will be complimented by a garden path and enhanced by a beautiful array of flowers, shrubs, and dune grass.  The Bluebird Memorial Garden will become a place of rest and reflection for the Bluebird Family, as well as all others who participate in Camp Geneva programs.
The planting has taken place and our first pictures are here in our Photo Album!  We’ll continue to add photos as Mother Nature takes her course!
Special thanks to Jan Weiden and her helping hands volunteers. Special recognition to Joyce Weise of Designscapes who has graciously donated the garden design and to Landscape Design Services who is generously donating all the plants.
